*This set is FREE SHIPPING since it is over $50*
It's 1927. And you're headed out the door.
You'd never leave the house without your favorite beaded purse, your powder compact, and your favorite bracelet that makes you think of spring no matter what season it is.
Here's what's included in this set:
- 1920's Beaded Clutch Purse, Made in France
- 1920's Powder Compact
- Vintage Pink & Gold Clasp Bracelet
- Two 1920's photos
- Original Wedding Invitation from 1927
What I love about this set is that it feels like you're a bit glamorous without overdoing it.
The bracelet looks so adorable on, I almost kept it! But it fit this set too well to leave it out. It fits comfortably on your wrist because of its oval shape, and looks cute even with a tee shirt and jeans. Now, it isn't from the 1920's era, but it had that feel to it and really completed the set, so I included it. Oh! I hope you love it and that it makes you smile when you look down at it!
The clutch purse--now here's a thing of beauty. It was an incredibly unique find. It's intricately beaded and has light blue and pink flowers. It snaps closed, and has a little open pocket on in the interior. Now, please note that the interior is where you can tell it's been used. No tears, but it has been stained. Could you use it? Of course you could! It's still in sturdy condition. But if you want to make sure it stays safe for posterity, it looks beautiful in a shadow box, or displayed on a shelf. I put it on top of our piano, and it looked really cute just sitting there, as though someone had just set it down before they started playing at a party.
The compact is so elegant. I had never seen one this shape before, so when I found it, I immediately put it in my basket! I love how the gold picks up the gold in the bracelet. What's special about this compact, is that it still has the thin powder puff underneath a second "door" within. Please note though, the compact itself no longer snaps closed, so if you put it in your purse to use it, just be aware of that. It stays closed pretty well even without snapping, but just so you know!
The photos and invitation complete the whole, personal feel of the era. These are real people who lived during that time, and who probably had items much like the ones in this set. And the invitation, though simple, is a window into a date that was very special to someone. No historical Live Inside the Story set is complete without these personal, paper items.
I hope you enjoy this set as much as I enjoyed finding all the pieces and gathering them together!
PLEASE NOTE: This set is not meant as a toy and has tiny parts that can be a choking hazard, please keep it away from little ones!
