Jacob and Esau, the sons of Isaac turns one year old


1743 B.C.

Late date for the authorship of the Brooklyn Papyrus(according to the Brooklyn Museum’s website), a list dozens of Semitic household slaves (not labor or building slaves) in a particular Egyptian home—Like Joseph was. Some of the names listed are: Shiphrah name of the midwife of Moses, Asher, Menahem, Issachar, all Israelite names (though the Egyptians called anyone form the Levant “Asiatic”). This is the first hard proof that there were Hebrews living in Egypt before the Exodus in the 1440’s (apxaioc.com / patternsofevidence.com)


1660 B.C.

Jacob migrates to Egypt, aged 130 years (Unwrapping the Pharaohs, pg.  206, Genesis 47:9)


1650 B.C.

Approximate end of the Middle Kingdom in Egypt

The Hittite capital of Hattusa is founded (in modern-day Turkey) (History of the World, Map by Map, pg. 46)


1600 B.C.

Akkadian account of the flood is written which recounts the same tale as embedded in the Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh, except the Noah-Character is named Atra-hasis (13)


1589 B.C.

Joseph dies (Unwrapping the Pharaohs pg. 206, Gen. 50:26), and the oppression of the Israelites begins in Egypt


1550 B.C.

Middle Bronze Age ends and Late Bronze Age begins, traditional date for the Egyptian Dynasty 18 between 1550 and 1200 B.C.


1525 B.C.

Moses is born 80 years before the Exodus (Unwrapping the Pharaohs pg. 206, Exod. 7:7) (it is worth noting that this is the first date mentioned in Unwrapping the Pharaoh’s—which seems to be doing their math right—that coincides with the Archaeological Study Bible by Zondervan, which doesn’t seem to be taking the Bible’s timeline at face value and which says in its commentary on Gen. 11:10-26, “In general, the time period from Adam to Abraham appears to have been extensive, and the genealogical lists in Genesis hardly serve as a timetable” 


1500 B.C.

The Maya have already settled in villages and developed an agriculture based on the cultivation of corn, beans, and squash (Encyclopedia Britannica), the Mayan Civilization ended up reaching from southeastern Mexico, down to Guatemala, Belize and the western portions of Honduras and El Salvador at their pique,

“The first major Mesoamerican civilization—the Olmecs—grows out of the early villages, beginning in the southern region of what is now Mexico. This period is marked by the effective cultivation of crops such as corn (maize), beans, chile peppers and cotton; the emergence of pottery, fine art and graphics symbols used to record Olmec history, society and culture.”

In India, the Vedic Period begins, in which the Vedas (religious texts that inform the religion of Hinduism) are now being written down; Until now, they have existed in oral form; They will be written from now until 500 B.C., spanning a thousand years history (worldhistory.com)

Moses is 25 years old and living in the Pharaoh's palace in Egypt


1485 B.C.

Moses flees to Midian, aged 40 years (Unwrapping the Pharaohs pg. 206, Acts 7:23)

1445 B.C.

The plagues, Passover and Exodus from Egypt (Unwrapping the Pharaohs pg. 206, 1 Kings 6:1, Exodus 7:7),
